My daughter asked me to find this book & send it to her for my grandbaby who is 19 mos old. After noticing reviews about possibly encouraging a toddler to explore the toilet, I double checked with my daughter as there could be a huge problem here. Well, she was certain she wanted this book, so I ordered it even though it was more money than I usually pay for books of this kind. Now that I am here visiting my grandbaby & daughter in Tulsa, there is no problem with this book. It's a great book, my grandbaby loves this book. Before coming for my visit to Tulsa, Amber was reading this book several times a night to her as it is the baby's fave. As with most any book, a book can come across in various ways depending on who is doing the reading. Voice emphasis (including encouragement/discouragement), tone emphasis (boredom, content, sad, happy), interest level portrayed, all play a part in what you want your child to get out of a book.Product details

Love this book. It's adorable and in good quality. I got this with 's book promotion (books 30% off on holidays) and only pay about $2.8. My 6 month old daughter read it with me and sometime tried to lift the flap. It's fun. This is the first Maisy book I purchased and plan on buy a few more when there is a sale on.
Sweet board book with 6 flaps to lift and look for Maisy. Fewer pages and words then other board books have, but colorful and engaging nonetheless.
Ther's not much I can add to the headline. I have been buying this book for years and hear nothing but raves.
The repition is great for emerging readers. I like how the text is very clear (black print on white background), so a child can easily see the words.
I'm not entirely taken with the Maisy character but all the grandkids like her, (although especially granddaughter Maisie). I am taken with the calm and gentle story and the fun everyone has lifting the flaps. Flaps are always fun, but trying to find Maisy adds an extra dimension. And, the book is well made, so the flaps have held up under repeated use by little hands, which isn't always the case with flap books. All of the Maisy books are good choices, displaying Maisy's good behavior, cheerfulness and kindness, but without a heavy message feel.
Great Maisy book as usual. My 3 year old daughter loves it just like she does with all of the Maisy books. Lucy Cousins has a way of creating books that truly grab the attention span of a toddler, which is not an easy feat. Bravo!
I have a two year old granddaughter, and this was a big hit. The book is sturdy and can withstand a toddlers handling.
The hide and seek theme delighted her and is preferred to her other board books. Highly recommended in the entertainment
of your young, budding readers.
